How is your product sold?
We sell some of our product by volume and some by approximate dry weight. For example our mulch is priced by the cubic yard while rock and sand is priced by the approximate ton or pound determined by selling unit (pallets or bulk)
Can I purchase less than a cubic yard or ton?
Yes. We are able to sell quantities less than a cubic yard and lighter than a ton.
What is a cubic yard?
A cubic yard is a measurement equivalent to twenty seven cubic feet and usually pertains to mulch or soil.
How much area will a cubic yard cover?
A cubic yard of mulch will cover approximately 100 sqft @ 3 inches while soil may cover approximately 75 to 90 sqft due to compaction and type.
How much product can you deliver in a single load?
We are able to deliver 20 to 24 cubic yards of mulch in a single delivery depending on product. For sand, rock and soil we are able to deliver 14 tons per delivery.
If I want to pick up product how much will my personal truck hold?
A small pickup will carry about 1 to 1.5 cubic yards of mulch. A standard size truck may hold 2 cubic yards of mulch with extended beds carrying more. Soil, sand and rock is limited by weight and normally ranges from .5 to 1 ton for lightweight to standard size trucks. Heavy duty trucks and trailers including commercial dump trucks are limited by GVWR.
